The Lenkin Gardens here are slowly coming to life here as Spring takes off. The bees are buzzing, the hummingbirds are zooming by, and all the flowers are blooming like crazy. We have been slowly taking photos of things blooming here in the gardens and thought to share them up on here.
We had our very first Heather Lenkin rose bloom in the garden and it has been such a joy to watch it come into bloom. The jasmine all over the garden has been in full bloom releasing such amazing sweet scents through out the garden. The other annunals through out the gardens like our ranunculus’ are all beginning to pop out and bloom.
An ever greater surprise to this whole spring fever madness is our clematis! We’ve been watching them closely through the end of winter and into the beginning of spring to see them slowly bud and eventually bloom. Clematis are slightly difficult to grow out here in Southern California’s climate, but we’ve kept careful watch and with all this tender care it’s finally paid off.
